Czech Republic - Extension Day 2 Cesky Krumlov

Before visiting Cesky Krumlov, I was hesitating because it would be a 2 hour plus journey to get there. But now, I'm glad to have visited this beautiful town. This is definitely one of the highlights of my visit to the Czech Republic. It pretty much took up the whole day but Cesky Krumlov was definitely worth it. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Uber to the start point of the tour - The bus station

The Uber is packing some drinks!

At the bus station in Prague.

Few hours later... In Cesky Krumlov (CK)

Toilet + snack stop. Not impressive but necessary.

Not a bad first look of the town.

CK, let's check it out!

The rose is the symbol of the royal family that once ruled the town.

The Church.

Apparently the royals are burried in the crypt.

Our group. It is a nice one. All Asians. Lol.

The castle walls. You needed premission from the Emperor to build these.

The town square.

Make a wish. You will come back.

The Horse Market.

Graphite. What pencils are made of.

The water wheel. The little man beside it is a folk creature that grabs people and drowns them. Every culture seems to have one.

Lunch time - Some Czech food with the Guide and another family from Hong Kong.

Mmm. Chicken schnitzel

Garlic soup.

This is where we ate.

At the bridge.

Crab pose!

My favourite picture of CK. I think can sell post card.

In the square before we head into the Castle museum.

Inside the museum. The group was in and out real fast. I took a bit too long so the group had to wait for me.
On the way up the tower, there is a dungeon. Real human remains there.

View from atop the tower.

They have bears! Apparently these were traditionally kept by the ruling family to connect them to the Romans (the name for bear in Italian sounds like the name of the ruling family).

Our guide Radim. Nice guy who bought me a medieval dark beer. Definitely deserves a tip.

On my way back to the hotel. It is already around 8pm but the sun is still up.

I just went for Macs at the hotel. Was too tired to venture anywhere else.

Ah, I will remember CK fondly.
