FAB25 Conference - Day 07 Prusa Factory Tour

Today marks the start of the conference at a new venue, the New Spiral Theatre and the Krizik Pavillions. Unfortunately, the talks were about Quantum physics and I had no idea what the speakers were talking about. It wasn't a total waste though. I managed to join the FAB Asia Network meeting which had some things that we could collaborate on. The highlight of the day must be the Prusa factory tour, which is the most quirky company I have ever visited. It has bee hives and alpacas! Try finding another company that has these.

Breakfast at hotel

For this trip, breakfast is provided everyday and it is something I look forward to. I try to get my vegetables and fruit in and try not to overeat.

First time at the New Spiral

My parents asked for crab pose, they got crab pose.

It is a rotating stage. Neil's lecture about quantum physics got my head spinning too.
This is what it looks inside the spiral. People seat along spiral rows and watch a rotating stage.

Lunch/FAN (Fab Asian Network) Meeting
The talks were too heavy for me to handle so I went back to sleep and waited for lunch.
The hotel lobby. It has got pool tables.
The hotel merch is so adorable!!!
Back to the conference grounds. The guy in the blue shirt won the Lego quantum contest. Not surprised he likes chess.
Lunch. It is free. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

More xTool!
This display of laser cut stuff is pretty cool. Maybe we should paint them to make them look less "plywoody"
FAB Asian Network. Asians together strong! I had to leave early as the Prusa tour was starting.

Prusa Factory Tour
After a short walk from the conference grounds, we reach the Prusa factory.

The factory area. It has some unique looking buildings that look really Soviet.
Alpacas! Prusa adopted them. They are adorable.
Smart 3D printed bee hives. Staff get a jar of honey on their birthday.

I took home two of these doggos.
Ending the day...
After the factory tour, I returned to the conference grounds and there wasn't anything much going on. I just looked around a bit before calling it a day.
