The Last Quarter of 2025

As I head into the last quarter of 2025, I am unsettled by several immediate challenges facing me. So what's on my plate?:

  1. Job challenges - We just had a major restructure and frankly, there have been a lot of changes to adapt to. Moving to a new lab/maker space, dealing with new colleagues, and moving to a teaching role is challenging. I experienced a dip in morale and motivation but I suppose I have accepted many of the changes now and have soldiered on to overcome some of them. There will be more challenges, but I think I'm able to handle them... eventually.
  2. Maker's block -  I'm currently facing creative stagnation - I know I want to do something creative but I haven't had the mental space to do so. So far, I have been prioritizing some of the more critical job tasks ahead of creative work and I feel like I am in a creative rut. There are many things I would like to pursue - picking up Zbrush again, learning a new 3D Software, creating my first toy, creating my yearly CNY zodiac animal design. Yet all of these need to take a backseat to whatever else is happening in my life now.
  3. New home - I'll be collecting the keys to my new BTO apartment tomorrow. This is a major milestone in my life. Wow. It is finally happening now. There will be a lot to do such as defect checking and renovation planning. I look forward to the day my home is finally done.
  4. HK Trip - I have gotten my air ticket and booked my hotel. I look forward to going but I have not planned an itinerary yet.
