Some times, it just ain't your day...

Mum has had a series of bad luck moments these few days. Here are 2 separate incidents to illustrate:

1. Vinegar pig trotters - On Sunday, mum had a craving for this smelly dish and went to Chinatown to buy it. Long story short, she couldn't find it and thus couldn't buy it. Then when we went to Malaysia yesterday, Dad pointed out a shop that sold vinegar pig trotters and so with much excitement, she rushed out to buy it. As we had a lot of errands to run, she left the food in my uncle's fridge (he has an apartment there). Eventually, we returned to Singapore but without the vinegar pig trotters! Mum had left the food in uncle's fridge and instead brought home a rotting broccoli that was flaking like a leper. Poor mum. All that anticipation ended up in disappointment.

2.  The non-writing pen - Well, this tale can't beat the drama of the previous but is amusing still...
Mum: (Grabs pen for Wacom tablet) "How come your pen can't write???"
Me: "Of course not, this is for digital tablets. There is no ink.
Mum: (Proceeds to grad a pen from my pencil case) "Then this one also cannot?"
Me: "This is a pen with white ink"... (I used this to write comments on dark prints)

The END (for now).
