Czech Republic - Extension Day 1 Prague Castle and Charles Bridge

Okay... Today was a strange day that almost felt wasted.

I joined Bart for his last breakfast in Prague before he returns home today and basically just bunkered in the hotel for a while waiting for the weather to get better (but it didn't).

Ah, breakfast at hotel. Always looking forward to it.

Alas, the rain isn't going to stop me and I went to see Prague Castle. I think I went in blindly and just walked around aimlessly, not entering any of the interiors and basically just walking randomly around without a plan before I reached Charles Bridge.

And I am off to take the tram!

The path to the castle..
Some music along the path.

Many tourists here.

This is the castle?

Ah yes, this is something grand.

More beautiful buildings in the castle.

This is the courtyard?

Beautiful view.

Prague is full of these old cool vehicles.

Czech tradition has a lot of puppets. I think of Sasori from Naruto.

Hedgehog with colour pencils. Cute.

Church of St Nicholas
More old cool cars!
Charles Bridge. Here we are finally!
It is a crowded bridge.
I'm sure there is a nicer view but I could not be bothered.
Here is the crown.

It was to early to end my adventure when I crossed Charles Bridge, so I headed back into town for lunch and hopefully find something else to see. But alas, after lunch I didn't really have a plan in mind and just ended wandering around. I found the Kafka statue by accident and that was about it.

I returned to the hotel and the lift was being fixed. I just walked the 10 floors up because I just was not in the mood to wait. It was raining and I could not wait to go back to my room and enjoy my coffee. Dinner was Italian food nearby. It was okay. A bit salty but went well with beer. And that was my day. Tomorrow we go to Cesky Krumlov! It will be a full day tour so nothing to plan. Just go.
